The association was founded in response to the growing bureaucratic pressure on the Polish nation. The demographic and healthcare crises, rising housing costs, and lack of scientific and entrepreneurial innovation all stem from corruption in government and suppression of society.
1. We are a coalition of variously oriented (classical liberal, republican, libertarian) patriots and nationalists. That’s why we call ourselves „National-Liberal Front”, because we are creating a front directed against strong/ authoritatian left-wing, right-wing and generally cosmopolitan positions.
2. We believe that a freely organized economy is the best possible system in human history. Only through spontaneous decisions made by free individuals can the best outcomes emerge. This progress is essential for maintaining modern society, which is one of the main goals of the association.
3. We do not affiliate with any religion. For centuries, Polish culture was strongly influenced by Catholicism and decisions made in the Vatican. We appreciate the actions of the Church that benefited our nation, such as efforts to unify Poland during medieval period of fragmentation and opposition to the totalitarian communist regime from 1945 to 1989. However, the Catholic Church in Poland today seems to be a political tool, and orthodox Christianity, with its cosmopolitan nature, cannot be reconciled with any authentic, non-aggressive form of nationalism.
4. In international politics, we are firmly pro-Western. If all nations of the Western hemisphere, especially in Europe, want to thrive, they must grant freedom to their citizens and cooperate economically, militarily, and culturally. However, this does not—and never did—imply sacrificing identity, sovereignty, or self-determination. In reality, the idea of homogenous European nation is impossible to realise until it means causing enormous catastrophes or mass exterminations of people.
5. Being pro-Western also entails being anti-Russian. While criticism of the USA, EU, or, given the current war, even Ukraine is understandable to an extent, Russia has never been a trustworthy partner or viable alternative to Western countries. Furthermore, a true Pole would never ally with Russia.
6. To achieve these goals, we need transformative reforms at the highest levels—constitutional and international. Following the ideas of republican philosophers like A. M. Fredro, Montesquieu, and F. A. Hayek, we advocate for the separation of legislative, executive, and judicial powers and limiting the power of democratic institutions to prevent them from being a root of tyranny. However, some members of our movement also emphasize the negative effects of excessive state authority and support its reduction, heading towards some form of libertarianism. Our final vision for Poland will be solidified as we develop our election program, because we should consider the particular issues in Polish society and not every path is adequate for them.
Our struggle is conducted across intellectual, media, and activist fronts. The impact of our efforts includes hundreds of posters across Polish cities, charitable initiatives, and thousands of views on our social media posts. In the near future, we plan to regularly upload videos on our YouTube channel and hold our first public meetings.
Though our resources are limited, we warmly welcome our ideological allies. If you are a public figure interested in hosting a political meet-up, lecture, or other public events, please contact us. The National-Liberal Front also offers technical (graphic/video editing) and intellectual support to those interested in starting a national-liberal organization in their own country. We are especially interested in connecting with activists and writers in Central and Eastern Europe. Please reach out to us at frontnl.org@gmail.com.
